Northern Ireland Championships (18/08/2010 16:02)

Saturday...

I shot 1374 for a M3 for my last shoot as U/14, very disappointed i didnt get 1400!! Won my age group -1st.

Jordan shot 1355 for M1 - 1st NI U/18

The weather was good, very hot with light winds.

The second day was the seniors - FITA 720 with a 70m Head to head.

I shot 625 for the 720 - Seeded 8th

Jordan shot 663 - Seeded 2nd.

I then won my 1st match - against my friend John Cairns, but got put out by Andrew Napier - Seeded 1st :(

Jordan first got a bye, Alan Napier beat Robert Hall saddly (Robert was having a terrible day), he won his 1st match against Alan Napier 6-2, then got beat by Darrel Wilson 6-0, then won the bronze medal match against Andrew Napier 6-0, so he finished 3rd in the Gents.

Combined FITA Target/Field, Boucher Road (18/08/2010 15:32)

The shoot was a National and a Unmarked field course (12 targets)

I Shot a Junior National and scored a Maximum! - 648 :)
I then had 183 on the field.

Half the shoot did the field 1st and the other half did the taget 1st and then we swapped after lunch. I did the field 1st and Jordan did the target.

Jordan got 636 for a National,
and 176 for the field Red peg.

It was terrible rain after lunch, and you could hardly see infront of you! Jordan and the others shooting the field round said that all 3 arrows were lying behind the boss (pass-throughs) at every boss becuse it was that wet! He had to refletch all his arrows because of it and couldnt shoot that week after because he had to wait on fletchings coming. Even my arrows where getting pass-throughts on the new bosses!! Once the rain stoped towards the end and the bosses dried up abit it was alot better through :)

Our amazing opticron spotting scopes keep steaming up after if rains when were shooting even though they're water proof. :( its really annoying.

Junior EuroNations Northern Ireland 2010 (17th/18th) (18/08/2010 14:42)

I had 817 on saturday and 809 on sunday, with a miss because a fletching came off! :O I finished 5th both days out of 8. Very disappointed.

Although my brother Jordan won on the 1st day with 845 and a 6x10's at 60m. :)
He then came 3rd the second day with 849 and got 297 out of 300 at 40m.

The weather way terrible the 1st day, with torrential rain, and we thought we were going to have to cancel the shoot. We ended up having to postpone it for about half an hour, until it eased off abit.
The second day was very windy and i think jordan struggled abit shooting his backtension release :-/ but it was a great weekend and i think everyone had great fun. Bowling on the saturday night was the best, and i wouldnt recomend the laser quest thing at the dundonald icebowl as it was terrible. :)

Junior National Championships (Lilleshall 3rd/4th) (06/08/2010 11:59)

hi

Saturday
British Outdoor Championships I shot a Metric 3 and had 1396, which is a new national record and a PB which put me in first 50m=344,40m=346,30m=348,20m=358.
I also had a national record at 20m.
It was a very hot day, with light winds.

My brother Jordan had 1318 for a Metric 1, which placed him 3rd in the U/18 Compound.

Sunday
It was a very windy day there was bosses blowing over and they had to shorten the shoot from a Bristol 3 to a short Western. Senior Euronations on the same day had to be cancelled!

I had 836 which was a PB and put me in first place. :)

I retained my title of being British Champion for my age outdoors - U/12 and U/14, 3 years consecutively.
U/12 2008, U/14 2009 and U/14 2010.

It doesnt take an 'Age' to change a 'Danage' middle block! (10/07/2010 22:35)

Hi

Having used my Danage boss many times the centre block was shot through and with the help of Graham at Danage Targets Uk my sponsor I was soon supplied with a new block - myself and my brother both took the boss apart and speedily and easily changed the cente block. We have used the boss many times and had other archers using it too - my brother and I are both compound archers and so we are quite accurate on the centre and the boss stands up to a lot of punishment.

Graham supplys Danage bosses and replacement blocks etc to Kilmore Archery Centre at Moira and we were able to get the replacement block quickly from Graham via Kilmore Archery Centre - 02838 326987 Address: 17 Bridge Road, Lurgan, County Armagh.
(Email: kilmore_archery@btinternet.com) having used Danage bosses I would recommend Danage Targets as a good investment and I feel using it has help secured my success as British Outdoor Champion at Lilleshall 2010 and realise my potential in the future. My thanks to Graham and his team at Danage.

New Bow (09/06/2010 16:47)

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to test a Mathews Prestige from Graham at Clickers. The first weekends competition was the All Ireland Fita in Belfast. I shot a metric1 on Saturday to practice for the 70m head2head on Sunday and to see how I shot with the new bow. This was my first try at a metric1 and I was delighted to hit 1309, much more than I expected, normally I only do metric3 for my U14 age group.
On Sunday I did ok 310 + 312 over 70m in qualifying for a 622 total, but I was knocked out in the head2head. This first weekend in June, I went back to my proper distances and at Stormont Belfast took part in a double Bristol shoot. I scored 1280 both days to set a new British Record for a double Bristol 3 of 2560. I was a bit sad because it rained on Sunday and with the wind I missed a few more arrows out of the gold than I wanted.
Next shoot is again at Boucher Road Belfast where I’m doing a metric1 and 70m head2head. Then it’s some practice before Lilleshall and The Nationals where I aim to defend my Metric and Bristol titles. :)

70m Shoot in Leixlip, Ireland (12/04/2010 22:16)

hi

Shot in Leixlip,Dublin on Sunday 11/4/10. I shot 4x 70m's and scored 321-315-309-316 finishing with a total of 1261 :) although I was a little bit disappointed that my brother Jordan beat me by 10pts.
The conditions were testing because of the gusting wind and bright sun.It was my first 70m round ever and I enjoyed shooting it.
